I deposited and withdraw a check that was bad. It was for a supposed to be for a business transaction with office equipment. I now owe 3800. How do I claim that I was scammed.

Thanks for coming by TD Helps, Garrett. We are sorry to hear and would be happy to help point you in the right direction.
Typically, once you have made a deposit, we would recommend that you allow at least 10 full business days for check verification. If the funds are unable to be collected from the originating bank for any reason, TD Bank will generally debit the amount back from your account during this time frame. Kindly note that if TD Bank is unable to collect funds, however, they can still be removed from your account at any time. Since you mention that the check has already returned, we recommend reaching out to the issuer of the check to discuss further, as well as other payment options to you.
Please note, as we would like to assist you directly, unfortunately, we do not have access to your personal information since this is considered an unsecured forum, however; to best assist you, you're welcome to contact us directly by calling 888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist, available 24/7 or visit your local TD Bank Store.
