Thanks for asking such a great question to us today on TD Helps, Tara.
As a customer of both TD Canada Trust and TD Bank in the United States you do have the ability to transfer funds between both institutions.
You can call our Cross-Border Banking Specialists 24/7 by dialing 1-877-700-2913 and they will initiate the transfer over the telephone. You can also stop into a TD Branch whether you are in the US or Canada. To find the closest location near you visit http://bit.ly/IrZaYo for Canadian Branches or http://bit.ly/TDStores for locations in the US.
If you are trying to receive a transfer from another individual who banks with us in Canada. Our friend up North – Jennifer – has answered a similar question that we think you may find helpful: http://bit.ly/1OBRG2I.
If you are looking to receive a wire transfer from another individual, you would first need to determine how the funds are going to be sent – in U.S. Dollars or foreign currency. For international wire transfers being sent to your TD Bank account in U.S. Dollars, you should provide the following information:
If the funds are being sent in foreign currency, please provide the following information to the sending bank:
Correspondent Bank SWIFT Code: TDOMCATTTOR; Correspondent Bank: The Toronto Dominion Bank, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5K 1A2; Beneficiary Bank SWIFT Code: NRTHUS33XXX; Beneficiary Bank: TD Bank N.A., 6000 Atrium Way, Mt. Laurel, NJ, USA 08054;
In Favor of: TD Customer's Account Number; TD Customer's Full Name; TD Customer's Address: (Please include City, State and Country);
However, if the funds are being sent in U.S. Dollars, please instead provide the following information:
Wire to: TD Bank, N.A. Wilmington, Delaware; ABA: 0311-0126-6; TD Customer's Account Number; TD Customer's Full Name; TD Customer's Address: (Please include City, State and Country);
In some cases, please be aware that the financial institution sending the wire to TD Bank may not be able to use an ABA number for a wire transfer. If they are requiring you to provide a BIC/SWIFT code in order to send a transfer (in U.S. currency), then they should use the following information instead:
Wire to (Beneficiary Bank): TD Bank, N.A.; Swift Code: NRTHUS33XXX; Bank Address: TD BANK N.A., 6000 Atrium Way, Mt. Laurel, NJ, USA 08054; TD Customer's Account Number; TD Customer's Full Name; TD Customer's Address: (Please include City, State and Country);
Additionally, we strongly recommend confirming with the financial institution sending the wire transfer to determine if they require you to provide an ABA#/Routing#, or a BIC/SWIFT Code to complete the transfer.
Please know that we will post all incoming wires on the banking day they are received. Also, we do not process incoming Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) wires and we return them to the sender. For more info on any fees for receiving a wire transfer at TD Bank, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Hope the information helps and you have a great day.
