I'm sure the account has been closed. How would i go about restoring and/or opening a new account? and what kind of fees would there be in doing so?

Great to hear from you, Whitney! Thanks for stopping by and we'll be happy to chat with you about this.
If you had an account which is now closed, in general you should be able to establish a new account with us. Please note that since it sounds like the previous account became closed due to a balance owed, you'll want to pay the amount due prior to opening a new account. Payment arrangements can be made by contacting our Recovery Department directly at 800-354-9769, or by visiting any TD Bank Store and stopping by a Teller station. Our Recovery Department can be reached Monday through Friday 8am-9pm and Saturday 8am-5pm for your convenience. And if you click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores, you can find the TD Bank Store and lobby hours nearest you.
Once you have paid any amount owed, feel free to apply for a new account by using any of the following convenient methods. We're available by phone 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to open an account, at any TD Bank Store, or online at http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i.
Hope this answers your question, Whitney! Best of luck with this and we hope to hear from you soon.
