Hi Casey! Thanks for stopping by TD Helps with your question.
We're glad to hear that you're interested in opening an account with us!
Good news! You should be able to open your new account with as little or as much as you'd like. We generally do not require a certain amount to be deposited at account opening. However, a majority of our accounts do require a minimum balance to avoid a maintenance fee. While we often do allow for a window of time, especially with our savings accounts, to build your balance, we recommend meeting that minimum as soon as you can.
We encourage you to check out all the accounts we're currently offering. While we know you mentioned a savings account specifically, we want to make you aware of a great Account Selector tool that might help. It takes into consideration how you intend to use the account to find the right fit for you. You can find that by clicking here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E. Once you're ready to open your new account, you may be able to do it entirely online! Just click the orange 'Open Account' button under the account you'd like and you'll be directed to our online account opening form.
We'd also be glad to open your account for you. Just give us a call at 888-751-9000. We have Banking Specialists available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week who can gladly answer any question you may have. As always, you're also invited to visit us at a local TD Bank Store to be assisted in person. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this helps, Casey. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Have a great weekend and Happy Holidays!
