The information needed to open an account with TD Bank may differ depending on whether you're interested in opening a personal or business account. We'll be glad to go over details for both.
First, let's talk about personal accounts. We offer a variety of Checking and Savings Accounts that can fit your needs. We invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1f9fEn9 for detailed information about each Checking account available. We also suggest taking a look at our Checking selector tool here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU, it will provide you with a personalized Checking account recommendation. You should also take a look at http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT for more information on each Savings account available at TD Bank. You may find it helpful to check out our customized Savings Selector tool, found here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM.
When you've decided on an account you would like to open, we currently offer many ways in which you can open an account with TD Bank. You’re able to call our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000, visit our website at http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i or stop by at any local TD Bank Store. To find the nearest TD Bank Store please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Keep in mind that to open the accounts you will need to supply a valid identification (Driver's license, state issued photo ID or passport) and your Social Security number.
In order to open a business account all signers must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process. To add another signer to the account at a later time, every signer that was present at the time of the opening must also be present when adding another person to the account. Those who are going to be signers on the account need to bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business.
If you are looking to open an LLC, additional documents will be needed. One of the listed documents is required for account opening but you can bring more than one if you desire: The documents used to form and register your business, the fictitious name registration or the Operating Agreement. Additionally, you will also need to bring documentation of your LLC Resolution.
Prior to visiting a Store, we suggest reviewing the types of business accounts that we offer. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe, the link shows the types of business Checking accounts that we offer. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988.
Once you've decided on the right account for your needs, you/your partners can stop by your local TD Bank for assistance. Although is not necessary, we recommend contacting us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to schedule an appointment to save you time.
