Thank you for contacting us via TD Helps, Jennifer. We understand how important it is to be able to manage your account even when traveling and we'll be happy to help.
You may make deposits at ATMs in your area that are listed as a NYCE shared deposit machine, even if they are non-TD Bank ATMs. Keep in mind that any deposits made at a non-TD ATM will take longer to clear your account and can take up to 5 to 7 business days. If any questions arise regarding the deposit you will have to contact the Financial Institution where the deposit was made. Please note, it is not recommended to deposit cash into a non-TD Bank ATM. For more information on how long deposits take to apply to your account please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (pages 35-37). TD Bank does not charge a fee for this type of transaction; however the institution that owns the ATM may charge a fee for this service, it is recommended to check with that bank.
We do offer another option to make a check deposit to your account. You can deposit your check in minutes safely and securely without making a trip to the bank through the TD Bank Mobile App. To make a deposit through your smart phone, you’ll first need to ensure you have an internet-enabled Android, iPhone, or Blackberry device with a camera and that you are enrolled in TD Bank Online Banking as well as the TD Bank Mobile Deposit service. Also, please make sure you have been a TD Bank Customer for at least 90 days or longer with an active Checking, Savings or Money Market account.
To make a Mobile Deposit please follow these steps:
- Go to your TD Bank Mobile App and Login
- Select "Mobile Deposit"
- Select "Deposit a Check"
- Enter the amount of the check
- Take a photo of the front and back of the check
- Select the account to deposit the funds into
- Review and submit
Once you have successfully made your deposit, please write "Deposited" on the front of the check and keep it in a secure place. You may destroy the check after 14 business days. Please visit: http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF for more information on Mobile Deposit.
If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking and wish to enroll for all your personal accounts, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security Number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling, you may contact our Digital Banking Team 24/7 at 1-800-493-7562 for further assistance.
You may also make a deposit via mail by sending your deposit to: TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, ME 04243.
Here are some tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted for deposit only)
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
Please don't hesitate to visit us here on TD Helps again if you have any further questions. Hope you're enjoying your trip to the Ocean State!
