My fiance and I have started receiving checks made out to the both of us. We do not share a bank account, though both have an account at TD bank. What is the best way to sign these checks over to one or the other? We will most likely want to cash the checks, not deposit.

Good afternoon, Ami!
This is a great question, and we'll be more than happy to help.
We'd first like to congratulate both you and your fiancé on such a huge milestone! We know that this is an exciting time, and we're happy to make depositing any checks made out to both you and your fiancé easy.
As you mentioned that some of the checks you received are made out to both you and your fiancé, we ask that you both visit your nearest TD Store location, to speak with a Customer Service Representative about signing an Endorsement Release Form. By signing an Endorsement Release Form, you are authorizing TD Bank to allow a check made out to you to be credited to an account that may not be in your name.
So that we may properly assist you, we ask that you visit your TD Store location during lobby hours, and you're welcome to check out the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest Store location, as well as their hours and contact information.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to connect with one of our Banking Specialist, as they are always happy to help. For your convenience, Banking Specialists are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached at 1-888-751-9000.
Congratulations again, Ami! Enjoy the rest of your day!
