Thanks for giving us the opportunity to answer your question here on TD Helps, Smiles!
The type of deposit depends you make will determine when your funds will become available. You may deposit as much cash as you'd like. The funds will become available immediately if you make your deposit with a teller.
When you deposit a check with a Teller, the first $100 is made available immediately. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held for 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of the deposit, the rest of the funds will be credited to your account on the following business day. Cash deposits made with a Teller are made available immediately.
Because there are exceptions that may cause delays in funds availability, we invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/1Iam3rB. On pages 40-43 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
Feel free to ask us any other questions and take care!
