Is it merely the use of a pin number as oppose to a signature? I see the amount per day differs by 3,000.

Thanks for submitting your question, Marice.
A TD Bank Visa Debit Card can be used as “credit” anywhere Visa is accepted. This being said, when you use your TD Bank Visa Debit Card and select “credit” as the payment method, the merchant will usually require a signature if the purchase is made in person or the three-digit security code printed on the back of your debit card if the purchase is made online. The transaction goes through Visa and may take 3-5 business days to post to your account; however, it will be deducted from your available balance right away.
If you use your debit card to make a POS transaction, it will require you to use your PIN after you select to pay by "debit." These type of transactions posts to your account the next business day and tend to have a lower limit than using your card with your signature.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You may also visit your local TD Bank Store to speak with someone in person. You can find a listing of TD Bank Stores and locations, here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this clears things up a bit, Marice and please let us know if you have any additional questions.
