Thank you for connecting with us here at TD Helps, Val. We would be glad to explain the difference between the Wire transfers and Online Banking transfers for you.
A Wire transfer is specifically used to send or receive larger amounts of money within the US or internationally and must be done by visiting a TD Store.
If the funds are being sent in US currency, you will need to provide the following information: Wire to: TD Bank, N.A. Wilmington, Delaware ABA: 0311-0126-6. Your full complete name as it appears on your account along with your account number.
For Foreign Currency Transfers being sent to TD Bank you need to include additional information: Correspondent Bank SWIFT Code: TDOMCATTTOR Correspondent Bank: The Toronto Dominion Bank, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5k 1A2 Beneficiary Bank SWIFT Code: NRTHUS33XXX Beneficiary Bank: TD Bank, N.A. 6000 Atrium Way, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054
You should expect to receive payment within two to three business days from the business date the wire is initiated. We post all incoming wires received from the Federal Reserve until 6:30 PM on the current banking day.
However, if you are looking to send funds domestically you may be able to use our Online Banking transfers also known as Person-to-Person transfers. This feature allows you to send money domestically to any account inside and outside TD Bank without having to visit a Store. To use this feature, you must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you have not enrolled in Online Banking yet, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card, please call our 24/7 Digital Specialist at 1-800-493-7562 to enroll. Once you’ve enrolled for Online Banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
Keep in mind that transfer fees may apply, for our fee schedule follow this link: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Please note, that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
We hope this answers your question, Val. Have a good day and please let us know if you have any other questions.
