Hi Louis. We're sorry to hear that your debit card was declined, but we'd be happy to help.
There can be several reasons that a debit card could decline, and we'd be glad to find out what has been the cause for your specific card. We see you are writing to us from Kluang. To call us from outside the United States, use country code 011 at 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to look into this for you.
With regard to your question about temporary and permanent limits; we assume you are referring to limit increases.
We do offer temporary limit increases for ATM withdrawals, PIN based transactions, and Visa purchases. To have a limit temporarily increased, you may call us at the number above or send us a secure message through your online or mobile banking. To send a secure message, log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We can generally respond within 24 hours or less.
To have a limit increased permanently, we do require a visit to a TD Bank Store with photo ID. If you will be back in the United States any time soon, we'd be happy to help you with that. You can find a location near where you'll be by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We look forward to talking with you soon, Louis. Have a great day!
