Hey Sarah, welcome to TD Helps and we would like to thank you for considering TD Bank. We would be happy to provide some guidance on setting up your new account(s).
Before we begin, we'd like to provide you some information on the different types of account TD Bank has to offer. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit you. To view and compare savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 , or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
After you've decided on the account that best fits your needs, you may open accounts Online at www.TDBank.com, over the phone at 1-888-751-9000 or even at a TD Bank Store.
If you'd like to open your account online, you may use the Open Account button at the links above to begin your application. To start, you'll need your Social Security number and a valid personal identification such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. If you open your account online, you can make your first deposit using a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution or a credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or stop in at a TD Bank Store with valid photo I.D.
If you'd prefer to open your account by phone, feel free to give us a call 24/7 at the number listed above to speak with one of our dedicated Customer Service Representatives. They will be more than happy to help you establish your account.
Once you're a TD Bank Customer, you may want to reach out to CitiBank directly for options on transferring any funds you would like to your TD accounts. We also recommend checking with them on the next steps to follow regarding closing accounts. We've also compiled an Easy Switch Checklist that you may find helpful found here: http://bit.ly/1nEm90e.
Feel free to also visit any TD Store with further questions or for assistance in opening new accounts as mentioned above. For Store hours and locations near you, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope the information provided helps, Sarah. Enjoy the rest of your night and let us know if you have any further inquiries.
