Good morning, Susan, and thanks for bringing your question to TD Helps!
Here at TD Bank, when looking to request a stop payment be placed on your account, you're able to make your request over the phone, at any TD Store location, or you may event submit your request through your Personal Online Banking!
It sounds as though you may already be aware of how to request a stop payment, but just in case, we'll be happy to review your options with you.
To make your stop payment request through your Personal Online Banking, you'll first want to log in, which you can do by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled, don't worry, you can start the enrollment process by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. To fully enroll, you will need your account number, routing number, a valid email address, and your Social Security Number.
Once you're able to successfully access your account, you'll next want to click on the 'Customer Service' tab, which you can find towards the top, right hand side of your screen. From here, under the 'Special Request and Documents' section, click on the hyperlink that reads 'Stop Payment.' To complete your request, you'll simply need to enter in the required information, and then select 'Send.'
In addition to making your request online, you can also connect with one of our Banking Specialist, 24/7, or you may also visit a TD Store location to speak with a Customer Service Representative. To connect with a Banking Specialist, you may simply dial 1-888-751-9000. If you'd prefer to visit a TD Store location, you're welcome to use this link: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest TD Store, as well as their lobby hours and contact information.
We understand that you may also be concerned about any fees that may be assessed when requesting a stop payment, and to learn more, you're more than welcome to check out our Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg.
We sincerely hope you found this information helpful, and please don't hesitate to connect with us at any of the methods mentioned above.
Thanks again for stopping by, Susan! Take care.
