Welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question, Fjolla.
When traveling overseas, including Europe, you can make ATM withdrawals from any ATMs that display the VISA or NYCE logo. Please note; fees may apply when using a non-TD ATM. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your TD ATM debit card out of the country. You also may be assessed an additional fee (surcharge) at the time of your withdrawal. This fee is set by the machine owner and not associated with TD Bank. Please know that we do have some deposit account products either will waive non-TD ATM fees or receive unlimited ATM surcharge refunds. Please refer to the same fee schedule provided above for more information. Additionally, you can use your TD Visa Debit card to obtain Visa Cash Advances. If it is requested at another financial institution, you may be charged a fee by them.
We'd also like to inform you that you that you can shop with your TD Visa debit card at millions of locations that accept Visa across the globe. At this time, we do not charge foreign transaction fees when using your TD Visa debit card making purchases overseas, including Europe.
To avoid any interruptions to your TD ATM Debit Card usage, we recommend placing Travel Notifications on your accounts at least one week before your departure date. If you have not already done so, you can by calling our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. If you're setup for online banking, another option would be to send a secure message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secure message you must first log on to your TD Bank online profile. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. You are always welcome to stop by your local TD Bank Store during normal lobby hours to set up your travel notification in person.
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set.
