Happy New Year, Carol! Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your questions about transfers.
If you're looking to transfer funds from your TD Bank account to an account that you have at a different Financial Institution, you will have the option of sending an External Transfer. There are two delivery options available with this service: three-day or next-day delivery. For the three-day option, the fee is $3.00, whereas, next-day delivery has a fee of $7.00. Please note that fees are subject to change and please see http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for more information. The next-day delivery option will become available to you after 90 days of your first successful three-day transfer and your account must be without any overdrafts in the past 90 days.
You also have the option of transferring funds to other people, regardless of institution. Through Online Banking you may access the Person-to-Person Payment feature which will allow you to send funds from your TD Bank account to someone else's account at another Financial Institution. You have two delivery options when sending a Person-to-Person payment. There is the three-day option, which has a fee of $1.00. You also have the option to send the payment with next-day delivery, which has fee of $7.00. Again, fees are subject to change and the same requirements as above apply to these delivery options. If you choose either of these services, you must first be enrolled in Online Banking.
If you are not currently using Online Banking, you may complete the enrollment process by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. To begin, you will need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number, Social Security number and email address. If you have any difficulties, please contact our Banking Specialists for assistance 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
Another transfer type available to you is wire transfers. You can send wires to any bank within the country and around the world. If you are making a transfer within the US, you will need to gather the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
You may want to contact the other financial institution to determine what information they require to receive the wire. Take a look at our fee schedule listed above for fees that may apply for wire transfers. Please note that wire transfers can only be scheduled at a TD Bank location during lobby hours, and keep in mind also that depending on the currency you are sending, some transactions may take longer than others. For lobby hour information and locations near you please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Hope this helps and have a great night, Carol.
