Hi, Michel! We appreciate your question today and are glad to help out.
We are happy to let you know that you can use your debit card at locations that accept VISA across the globe! While you are away, you can make ATM withdrawals from any machine that displays the VISA or NYCE logo.
If you make a purchase abroad with your TD Bank Visa Debit Card, no foreign transaction fees will be charged. Please note the following fees that you may expect to pay when using a foreign ATM:
-Each withdrawal, transfer, and balance inquiry made by a Retail Customer at an ATM not owned by TD is subject to a $3.00 fee, which is charged by TD Bank the same day the transaction is made
-The owner of the machine or network may assess a fee at the time of your transaction, including a fee for balance inquiries, in addition to any fees assessed by TD Bank
-If you use any ATM in a foreign country, you may also incur international, currency exchange and usage fees regardless of the type of account you have at TD Bank.
We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of the country. If you're unable to find an ATM that is compatible, with the TD Bank Debit Card, it may be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance.
If you are unable to find an ATM that is compatible, your TD Bank Visa Debit Card may also be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance. We recommend checking this possibility with a local bank. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
