I already have a TD bank account and in near future I would like to transfer money on a regular basis probably, monthly, to India. With regards to this, I would like to know the money transfer rate. Also, do I have to visit a branch every time or is there a way I can use my online account for direct international transfer. Thanks....

Thank you for submitting your question to us on TD Helps, Devraj. We are happy to clear up some confusion regarding wire transfers.
Our Customers may send international wires in either U.S. dollars or foreign currency. Benefits of sending international wires in foreign currency instead of U.S. Dollars are:
- Certainty of FX rate
- Faster payments
- Competitive rates
- Minimized rate risk
For our outgoing international wire transfers fees, please see our fee schedule here: http://go.td.com/1cTejgt. We utilize the services of correspondent and/or intermediary banks to transfer funds to banks overseas. These banks may charge a fee for their services, and the correspondent and/or intermediary bank might deduct these fees from the wire transfer amount. As we are initiating the wire, we recommend contacting the receiver to see if any fees were deducted from the original wire transfer amount.
Please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
We invite you to visit your local TD Bank Store to send an international wire. Feel free to check out http://go.td.com/TDStores for locations nearest you. On your visit, please be sure to bring the receiving bank's wiring instructions.
Foreign Currency Wire Transfer requests received by the International Department by 1pm weekdays will be sent the same day. US Dollar Wire Transfer requests received by the International Department by 2:00pm weekdays will be sent the same day. Funds will be available to the payee in approximately 3 to 5 banking days.
We are always here to help, Devraj. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions.
