Welcome to TD Helps, Dakota.
As you're interested in opening a Checking account, we encourage you to review our Checking Accounts here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF. You might also find it convenient to use our Checking Account Selector Tool found at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU, which can provide the best account for you after you answer a couple quick questions.
Please know that we currently offer a TD Convenience Checking account which has a low balance requirement of $100 to waive the monthly fee. If you're a full time student under the age of 24, we also have a TD Student Checking account which has no monthly maintenance fee. We offer several other types of Checking accounts that could meet your needs as well, we also recommend using the links above to see what may best fit your needs. Please understand that account types and requirements are subject to change at any time.
Once you've decided on the type of account you like, you may click here: http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i to take you directly to the account opening application. You may also call us directly 24/7 at (888) 751-9000 to set up your new account via telephone.
If you'd prefer, you may open an account at a TD Store during lobby hours. For TD locations near you and their lobby hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores. You will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
We hope this helps, Dakota. Take care!
