Welcome to TD Helps, Patrick. We'd be happy to help!
When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any ATM machine that displays the VISA or PLUS logo. Please note; fees may apply when using a non-TD ATM. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your ATM debit card out of the country.
The international currency conversion rate varies by country. In all foreign countries, the exchange rates at the ATM are always more current than the commercial rates because the transaction is a real time authorization.
Many ATMs outside the United States limit withdrawals to Checking accounts only. You can always use TD Bank Online to transfer money from your Savings account to your Checking account should you require more funds. If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking and wish to enroll for Online Banking for your personal accounts, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security Number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling, you may contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
