Once you've decided on the Checking account type that best suits your needs, you can open a joint Checking account together with the other account signer by visiting any TD Bank Store location near you during lobby hours. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank near you. Please make sure both parties, including you, bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
If one of you is a Non-US resident and does not have SSN at this present time, you will need to bring two forms of identification with you and stop by your local TD Bank store during our lobby hours to set up your new account. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature

Changing banks can be a big decision, especially if you have direct deposits and scheduled payments set up and we would be happy to help make this process as smooth as it can be! We've designed a checklist to help you make the move, please see here: http://bit.ly/1nEm90e. This checklist includes all of the information you need to make it easy for you to switch and make the most of your TD Bank Checking account.
Thanks again for choosing TD Bank for your banking needs. We hope this helps. Have a great day!
