is the ABA number different for a wire versus an ACH?

Thanks for writing in on TD Helps today, Leslie. We're happy to provide you with the information needed for wire transfers.
A SWIFT code is only needed if you are sending an international wire in foreign currency. Since you mentioned the funds you are looking to send will be domestic, a SWIFT code will not be needed. Below you will find the information that will be necessary to complete the wire:
Wire To: TD Bank, Wilmington, DE ABA#: 031101266 Credit To: Account holder's name as it appears on the account and the account title along with the account number.
To ensure accuracy when sending a wire we suggest using the ABA number provided above as opposed to the routing number that is used for ACH payments.
