First and foremost, we are deeply sorry for your loss, Richard. We'll be sure to go over how you can order new checks with your step son's name on them.
We'd like to begin by providing some information on how to remove your wife from your account and adding your step-son to your account. Please visit any TD Bank during lobby hours with your step-son and bring a certified copy of your wife's death certificate. Once this is submitted, you'll be able to sign a new account agreement and be ready to add your step-son to your account. In order to add your step-son to your account, he must provide photo ID and a new signature card must be signed.
You can order new checks with both you and your step-son's names on them via online banking, over the telephone by dialing 888-751-9000, 24/7 or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you. If you choose to visit us or call us, our Banking Specialists will be happy to place your check order for you, after they verify your account information.
If you're enrolled in online banking, you can order new checks from the comfort of your own home at your convenience. If you're not currently enrolled for online banking, you may do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY . Please have your account number, debit card number and Social Security number available. If you have any trouble signing up, please contact our Banking Specialists, 24/7 at the telephone number listed above. Once you're enrolled, please sign into your account, click on the Customer Service tab and select Order Checks.
We certainly hope this information helps and come by again if you have any additional questions, Richard. Take care and have a great upcoming weekend.
