We would like to thank you for joining us on TD Helps, Cheryl. We appreciate your interest in starting an account with us!
At TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank, we remain committed to ensuring the highest level of satisfaction with all of our products and services. We do offer services to Nonprofit Organizations. We recommend taking a look at the types of business accounts TD Bank has to offer. If you take a click here, http://bit.ly/1ojpl3j , the link shows the types of Small Business and Commercial Checking accounts we offer. You can also feel free to chat with a Small Business expert by clicking on the Chat button on that screen. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988.
When you are ready to set up your business account with us, you can stop by your local TD Bank for assistance or contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to schedule an appointment. You may also click here: http://bit.ly/SWDqsn to fill in a form to request a call form a Small Business Banking Specialist. For information on our lobby hours and locations please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We would also need to verify the status of the Non-Profit Organization. Please bring in the following documents to your local TD Store: a 5013-C form that you would've received from the IRS when granted the Not-for-Profit status, and the separate Tax Identification Number given to Non-Profit Organizations when initially applying for that status. Please note, a Social Security Number cannot be accepted instead of a Tax Identification Number.
If your Non-Profit Organization is also Incorporated, please include the additional following information: State Website Report, Filed or Certified Business Formation Documents, or Certificate of Good Standing/Existence. Additionally, you will need to bring the Corporate Resolution documents.
For a non-resident alien opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business.
Changing banks can be a big decision, especially if you have direct deposits and scheduled payments set up and we would be happy to help make this process as smooth as it can be! We've designed a checklist to help you make the move, please see here: http://bit.ly/1nEm90e. This checklist includes all of the information you need to make it easy for you to switch and make the most of your TD Bank Checking account.
We hope you find our answer helpful and please don't hesitate to return to TD Helps if you have any further questions.
