Thanks for the question Steve!
When opening a Personal Savings account, we do not require a minimum initial deposit to open an account. However, some of our Savings accounts do have a minimum daily balance that you would have to maintain in order to avoid a maintenance fee. We recommend viewing and comparing Savings account products here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. Once at that page, if you click on the "View Details" link under the account type, you'll be able to view the minimum amount that would be required to maintain if you were to choose that account type. If you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can also help!
If you find an account that interests you (and we hope you do) we have a few ways in which you can open it. You're welcome to visit us at any TD Bank location. For a listing of TD Bank Stores and hours please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you'd prefer, you can give our Banking Specialists a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 for the account opening. You're also able to open the account online. When viewing the accounts we offer (the first link provided) there will be an orange button that says "Open Account" you may click on that link to start the application process.
If you're looking to open a Business Savings account, we do require a low initial deposit amount of $25.00. Please take a look here for more info: http://bit.ly/TwB3wL. To open a Business Savings account we do ask that you visit a TD Bank location for further assistance.
Thanks again for writing in, Steve. Enjoy the rest of your day.
