Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your questions, Sopharade!
It sounds like you've enrolled in TD Debit Card Advance. With this program, overdraft availability is determined electronically at the time that your debit card is swiped or processed. Some factors for acceptance are: the age of your account, the balance in the account, and the past number of overdraft occurrences. Essentially, longer the account stays in a positive balance, the greater the possibility is that we will approve your transactions in the future, regardless of balance. If the debit card is being declined, you have met the discretionary limit that the bank will allow at this time.
If you have any additional questions about TD Debit Card Advance, please don’t hestitate to reach out to us anytime at 888-751-9000.
You've also mentioned some interest in applying for a loan. Using a loan for debt consolidation can be a great tool for streamlining your expenses and helping to lower debit.
To start, we encourage you to check out our Personal Loans and Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit to see which one might be a good fit for you. These types of loans are great for debt consolidation!
To check out what we're currently offering in Personal Loans, please click here: https://go.td.com/2vyiEHh. We also encourage you to check out our debit consolidation calculator here: https://go.td.com/2w5C8CA. If you intend to use the loan to pay off some outstanding bills or credit card balances, this will show you what your monthly payment may be on an unsecured loan for your total combined debt.
If you have equity in your home, you may want to consider a Home Equity Loan or Line of Credit. For info on how a Home Equity Loan or Line of Credit can help with debit consolidation, as well as the accounts we're currently offering, please click here: https://go.td.com/2uNGFp3.
From both of these pages, you can check out the specifics on each account, what the rate may be, and even apply online.
We'd also be happy to discuss our lending options with you. We can review your specific situation to find the best option for you. Please give Financial Solutions Group a call 24/7 at 800-793-5020 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
