Hi there Christina,
Great to have you join us and welcome to the community.
For most accounts, when you deposit a check with a Teller or at the ATM, the first $100 is made available immediately. The rest of the funds are usually credited to your account on the following business day.
Kindly note that the business day is determined by the day and time of your deposit. If your deposit is made at TD Bank before 8:00 PM on a business day, it would be considered a deposit for that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays. On the other hand, if you make a deposit over a weekend, this usually means that the deposit will be considered Monday's deposit and will post to your account Tuesday. Please keep in mind that because Monday of this week is a Federal holiday, the deposit will be considered for Tuesday and should post to your account on Wednesday.
Exceptions can also occur which can cause delays in funds availability. For example, if you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held for up to 7 business days for verification purposes. We invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 38-42 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
If you've already made a deposit, Christina, we would be more than happy to review this with you and tell you more about the availability on it. You can call us anytime 24/7 at 888-751-9000 so we can chat, or you can also stop in to any TD Store. We are available for our regular hours tomorrow even though it is Columbus Day, so feel free to visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps with your deposit, Christina.
All the best and we hope you have a wonderful evening.
