Good afternoon, Deborah. Welcome to TD Helps with your inquiry.
An account is considered dormant after no Customer activity (deposits or withdrawals) after 3 or 5 years depending on Store region where your account was originally opened at. Please know that Service charges, interest payments, debit memos and credit memos will still apply, but will not re-activate a dormant account.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You may also stop by your local TD Bank Store location for assistance. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. While you're there, you may simply make a deposit or withdrawal with a bank teller to reactive your account.
We hope the information provided help. Let us know if you have any further questions. Have a great one.
