I got a US dollar cheque of TD Canada Trust. Can I deposit it into my account just like any other US dollar cheque? If not, how? any fee for depositing such a cheque? how long would it take to have it cashed?

If you are currently a TD Bank Customer, you are able to deposit this check at any TD Store location. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. Please note that foreign checks will need to be deposited with a teller, and will not be able to be accepted for cash.
Since you have stated that this is a U.S. dollar check, there will be no fee assessed. Please also note, there are exceptions that may cause delays in funds availability. We invite you to look at our Deposit Account Agreement here for personal accounts: http://go.td.com/1kb17UQ. On pages 40-44 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits. For foreign check deposit funds availability, please refer directly to page 43 for additional information.

a similar situation here, but I am currently in Canada. Can I visit a TD branch in Canada and deposit a US check into my US-based TD account? thank you.

Please know that you are unable to visit a TD Canada Trust location and make a deposit to your TD Bank account. We apologize for any inconvenience.
While away, you are able to use Mobile Deposit through the Mobile Banking App to deposit checks. To make a Mobile Deposit, please follow the steps below:
1. From the Main Menu of the TD Bank Mobile Banking app, select Mobile Deposit, then Deposit a Check
2. Enter the amount of the check
3. Take a photo of the check using your mobile device
4. Select your account
5. Review and submit your deposit You may wish to note the date on the front of the check and include the word “Deposited”, for your records.
Additionally, you may want to keep this for 14 days to ensure it has cleared your account. You are then welcome to destroy the check.
If Mobile Deposit is not an option, you are able to mail in a deposit. Banking by mail is simple, and easy. All you would need to do is mail your deposit to the address below:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions

I'm a Canadian living in Canada, and I've just received a cheque from the US in US dollars. Can I deposit it into my regular Canadian account at an ATM? Will there be a fee for converting the currently into CAD?

I'm in a similar situation. I have a TD Bank (US) account. I have a USD cheque issued by a Canadian bank. Can I deposit this cheque (in USD) to my TD Bank (USD) account via the TD Bank mobile app? Thanks.
