If you're sending a check as payment for your TD Bank Visa Credit card account, we'd like to let you know that we'll process the payment directly as soon as it is received. It will be deducted from your checking account once this occurs. Kindly note that the payment will not be held until the account's due date. Also, from your message, it sounds as though you may be using TD Bank Bill Pay for these payments. If this is the case, kindly note that the date you select is the delivery date of your payment. We will try to ensure that your Biller has the payment by the date you have selected. Please note that we do not use your Due Date as your pay date, unless you have selected this same date as the date TD Bank should use for the payment.
Bill payments made through bill pay can be issued electronically or as a draft check, and actual processing is determined by the biller. Bills paid electronically can be paid as soon as the next business day and will give you the option to choose the next business day on the calendar, while payments sent in check form will usually need several days for processing and mailing. By default all weekends and holidays will not be available for the selection of delivery.
Kindly note that these types of payments will be deducted from your account as follows:
For bills paid by electronic transmission, typically we will withdraw the money from your account on the same day that you selected as the pay date for your bill.
For bills paid by check, we will mail a check to your biller by your pay date, and the money is withdrawn from your account just like any other check – when the biller cashes the check.
