Thanks for your question, Michael. We'd be glad to clarify.
Whenever you travel outside your normal range of activity, it is always a good idea to place a Travel Notification. By placing a Travel Notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
For more travel tips, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu.
To best assist you, please contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative place a Travel Notification on your accounts.
You may also send us a Secured Message through your Online Banking. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a Secure Message" located in the “Message Center." If you have not enrolled, please call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with our Banking Specialists.
If you are enrolled for our BusinessDirect Online Banking, you may use this link to logon http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8 and send a secure message. If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flight if applicable.
If you are unable to call or send a secure message, you can always visit your local TD Bank Store and one of our Customer Service Representatives can place the Travel Notification for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank locations and hours near you.
We hope this helps, Michael and have a good day.
