Thanks for stopping by to TD Helps today, Erik.
Chip technology is already the global standard because of its advanced security features. By late 2015, this technology will be the standard in the U.S. as well. We want our customers to have access to the best security features right now and the new cards support that desire. We're happy to say that we will begin issuing chip-enabled debit cards in September 2015 to our Customers as their card expires.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You may also stop by your local TD Bank Store location for assistance. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once again, we thank you for choosing TD Bank. Have a great weekend, Erik!
