Thanks for the question on TD Helps, Brianne!
Since you mentioned that you intend to deposit your tax refund to your brother's account, first we'd like to let you know that although TD Bank typically accepts deposits of funds to an individual's account not listed as Payee (third-party deposits), we apologize as government and insurance checks are exceptions to this rule. These types of deposits may only be made into an account naming the same party listed on the deposit. For a direct deposit, the recipient's name must be on the account that the funds are deposited in to.
If you do share this account with your brother as a joint owner, you'll be able to route your deposit there and we'll be happy to tell you where to find this account number.
First, if you receive paper statements for your savings account and have any of these handy, your account number would be located in the top right corner of your statement.
If you don't have any statements at this time, don't worry! Another easy way to locate your account number is to log in to your TD Bank Online Banking profile at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you log in, you will be viewing the Accounts tab, which immediately lists any accounts you have and their full account numbers. Please keep in mind that if you are already banking online and use the TD Mobile App on your phone or other device, it would be necessary to log in to our full site at the link above to view your complete account number.
If you don't bank online with us yet, we invite you to contact a Banking Specialist 24/7 at 888-751-9000, who can enroll you after account verification during your call.
Otherwise, you are welcome to visit any TD Bank Store location during our convenient lobby hours to retrieve your account number. Please find a store near you at http://bit.ly/TDStores. Kindly note that we can't provide account numbers via phone or email, for your account security and protection.
Hope this helps with your deposit, Brianne. Thanks again for writing in and have a great day.
