I have 10 stocks that they don't have the date purchased to find out the tax basis. They give me a description but it does not list the stock. How do I find out what stock it is?

Welcome to TD Helps, Joe. We'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
As you've mentioned that you're inquiring about your recent purchased stocks, we recommend speaking to our affiliated brokerage firm TD Ameritrade. To learn more about TD Ameritrade, please visit http://bit.ly/1BMZkQl, and feel free to give a Specialist a call at 800-400-3603. They'll be able to help with taking a look at your current investments and decisions with the same dedication to service and convenient solutions you've come to expect from TD Bank.
We hope this helps, Joe, and have a great night!
