We have a guest that is paying cash but a hold was put on his credit card. We need to fax in a letter of release but we're not sure where that letter comes from.

You came to the right place for information, Tina. We'd be happy to help provide details on where to fax a Merchant release request.
As you are the Merchant requesting the funds to be released, please have the request faxed to our Fulfillment Department at 856-533-1138. The request should be on the Company's Letterhead with the following information:
- TD Customer's name
- Date of authorization
- TD Customer's full debit card number
- The exact amount debited, or separate amounts if there are multiple authorizations
- A brief statement from the Merchant requesting the hold to be released
- The Merchant's signature
Our Fulfillment Department is available to assist you 24/7 for your convenience. If the information needed is correct, the hold can usually be released within 2-3 hours of receiving the fax.
If you would like any assistance with this process or to make sure the charge can still be released, please have the TD Customer connect with one of our Banking Specialists at 888-751-9000, who are available 24/7 to assist them.
We hope this was helpful and please let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
