Thank you for considering TD Bank, Sandeep.
TD Bank offers many checking accounts. First you'd want to decide on the account. We offer many different types of accounts, both Checking Accounts and Saving Accounts. Please take a look here https://go.td.com/29HKKlx to review the current Checking Accounts that we offer and here https://go.td.com/1l6nLQ7 for the current Savings Accounts that we offer. We also invite you to take a look here: https://go.td.com/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you; we also have a Savings Selector Tool https://go.td.com/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Opening the account online is a great way to open your account. Once you've decided on which account is best for you, you can open the account via the internet by clicking on the "Open Account" box which will be listed at the bottom of each account details. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number, One of the following: Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit.
There are 5 steps with series of questions you will need to fill in during this account opening process. The first step is the "Account Info", you will need to input the account type you are looking to open and whether you want a TD Debit Card or not. The second step is your "Personal Info". This is where you authenticate your identity so you will need your Social Security number and your Driver's license, State ID, or Passport for this portion. Step three is the "Disclosures" where you will be requested to view and agree to. Step four is your "First Deposit". If you have a current account, whether it is with TD Bank or another institution, this is where you can transfer funds into the new account for the first deposit. Finally step five is the "Finish" portion. Review your information and submit your application.
If you run into any problems during the process or if you prefer, you could also give us a call at 888-751-9000 24/7 who can open the account(s) for you. Alternatively, you may visit a TD Bank to open an account with us. For hours and locations near you, take a look here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope you have a great day, Sandeep.
