We're happy to have you visit us at TD Helps, Trish and we'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Your TD Debit Card can be used anywhere VISA is accepted worldwide. You will even have the ability to make cash withdrawals at any ATM Machine that displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. If you are unable to find a compatible machine, you are also able to use your Debit Card to obtain a VISA Cash Advance. Please note that non-TD ATM fees still may apply. For more information on the Fee Schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Before traveling, we do recommend placing a Travel Notification on your checking and/or savings account before you leave to New Orleans. To place a travel notification, you can call our Customer Service Line 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit a local TD Bank Store. For a listing of TD Bank Stores and hours check http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Also, if you are enrolled for Online Banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq . On the left hand side, there will be an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. Please include the travel destination(s) and travel dates.
If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you may do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
Additionally, we also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu.
Thanks again for visiting us, Trish. Have a safe trip and enjoy!
