When I tried to open an account, the website linked me to a few documents that included a Letter of explanation, a deposit slip and a W8BEN form. I am currently considered a resident alien under the IRS for tax purposes as I've been in the country for more than 5 years. So my question is, which supporting documents are required for me to open an account?

Do I have to go to a store to open up a brokerage account? I'm only looking to open up an online brokerage account. I'm reluctant to go to a store because the closest one to me is a 2 hour drive away.
