Welcome to TD Helps, Matt.
We like making things easy here at TD, especially when it comes to our accounts. You can actually change your account type at any time without closing your account or changing the account number! There are even a few ways to make the change.
You can call us 24/7 and speak with a Representative by dialing 888-751-9000. After account verification, they would be happy to update your account to reflect the changes you'd like. If you're enrolled in Online Banking, you can even request this change from your online account by sending a secure message. You can log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you're signed in, on the left hand side you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." When sending us the secure message, please be sure to provide us your account number and the account type you are requesting and we will be happy to process your request.
If you aren't enrolled in Online Banking yet, don't worry. You can enroll any time by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You'll need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number, Social Security number and email address to complete the enrollment. If you have any trouble, you can call the number above or you can visit a TD Store during lobby hours. To check our locations and lobby hours please visit here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
You may also visit a TD Store during lobby hours to request the change for your Savings Account.
Prior to changing your account, you may also wish to view the different types of Savings account we offer by taking a look here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT. If you need help selecting the best Savings account for your savings needs, you can use our Savings Selector tool at http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd for assistance.
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us 24/7 over the phone, by visiting a TD Store or writing to us here.
We hope this helps, Matt and have a good day.
