Welcome to TD Helps, Abby. This is a great question, and we'll be happy to help!
Monthly Maintenance Fees are assessed anytime an account falls below the daily minimum balance during a statement period. The fee will appear on the last day of the statement cycle.
From your inquiry, it sounds like you may have a Simple Savings account. For more information on this account type specifically, we invite you to take a look here: https://go.td.com/2t288Dw.
If this is not your account type, or if you're unsure of which account type you may have, we invite you to review your statements, as the account type will be listed towards the top of your page. If you do not have your statements handy, that's okay! You may view your statements via your Online Banking, and you're welcome to use this link: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq to log in.
If you have not enrolled yet, feel free to use this link: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY to start the enrollment process. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your email address. If you need any assistance enrolling, please call 888-751-9000 to speak with one of our Banking Specialists, who are available 24/7.
Once you have access to your Online Banking, please select the 'Accounts' tab towards the top of your screen, and then select the account you wish to review. After this is completed, you'll want to click on the green tab towards the top of your page that reads 'Statements & Notices'. This will bring you to a screen with all your available statements for the account you selected, and by clicking 'View', you'll have access to review all your statements from the comfort of your own home.
You're also able to view your statements from your smartphone! Simply log into your TD Bank Mobile app, and after you have done so, click on the 'Accounts' button towards the left side of your screen. From here, click on the account you wish to view, followed by the tab that reads 'Statements'. Once you're viewing your available statements, click on the download button towards the right of the statement date, and your statements will automatically appear!
If you have any trouble at all, or if you'd like to review your Maintenance Fee with a Specialist, you're welcome to reach us at the number provided above. You're also able to visit a TD Store location to speak with a Customer Service Representative, during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
By using your Online Banking, you also have the ability to send a Specialist a Secure Message. Once you've successfully logged into your Online Banking, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. From your Mobile Banking app, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
We hope this clears up any confusion, Abby. Have a great Thursday!
