I would like to set up a recurring monthly payment for my credit card in case I am physically unable to initiate the payment myself. However the only two options I can finbd are for the minimum payment due or the full amount. I would like to pay an amount a little above the minimum in order to knock down the principal a little more. Can this be done, and if so, how?

Hi David, thanks for your question today. We'll be happy to guide you in the right direction.
It sounds like you may be trying to set up an autopay transfer through TD Card Services. At this time, the only available options for this type of payment are the ones you've mentioned. But we do have another option that may work for you.
If you'd like to set up a recurring payment of a certain amount for a certain length of time, you can do it through TD Bank's Bill Pay. Through Bill Pay we can send a check to TD Card Services each month for a dollar amount that you designate, on a date that you designate. To set this up, log into your online banking by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq and select the 'Bill Pay' tab. If you haven't done so already, you will need to enroll in this service. Our system will walk you through the enrollment process. Once enrolled, you'll be able to set up your payment to TD Card Services. When adding this payee, be sure to select Auto Pay to ensure its paid monthly. You can go back and cancel this at any time.
If you have any difficulty setting up this Bill Pay, please don’t hesitate to give our Tech Support Team a call 24/7 at 800-493-7562. You may also visit us at your local TD Bank Store. To see our Store locations and hours, please click this link: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this helps, David. Take care!
