We understand your concern, Bill and we'd be happy to clarify.
When you have a joint account, both signers have equal rights and access to the account. Because of this, signers are unable to be removed and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you do not wish to continue to share the account you currently hold, the account you've mentioned must be closed and an individual account would be opened in your name.
To learn more about account ownership, we invite you to take a look at our Personal Account Agreement found here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (pages 14-17).
If you would like to discuss this in greater detail, we ask that you call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or visit any TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Thank you for your question, Bill and have a good day.
