Hello, Rogers and welcome to TD Helps. We apologize to hear about any troubles with your account, and are glad to point you in the right direction to resolve this.
From your description, it sounds like the payment for your membership was made using your TD Bank Visa debit card. When selecting the "credit" portion or Visa side of your debit card, the funds are placed on hold from your account and put into your pending. While the authorized amount typically takes one to two (1-2) business days to post to your account, the timing really depends on the merchant where you made a purchase. Please note, merchants have up to 180 days to post pending transactions; however, it is unusual for an item to exceed five business days. Occasionally, pending Debit Card amounts listed may not equal the amount of the actual transaction. When the transactions clear, the actual amount will be reflected in account history. Examples of these transactions may include Debit Card purchases at restaurants or for gasoline. For more detailed information on this, please click here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. This link will take you directly to our "Personal Deposit Account Agreement", please select page 12 for more information the "Processing Orders for Payment Checks and other items" which includes debit card transaction, deposits, and checks.
If the transaction is question was made by using your TD Bank Debit Card (the card linked to your Checking account), and is Actively Pending, you may be able to have the funds released. When you call us as mentioned above, your Specialist will be able to ensure that this is a debit card transaction in an Active Pending status so that we can release it. In order to have the funds released, the vendor may fax a letter to us on their letterhead to the attention of Fulfillment at 1-856-533-1138. They need to include the following:
1. Date of authorization
2. Your full debit card number
3. The exact amount debited
4. A brief statement from the merchant expressing that they authorize the hold to be released.
5. The merchant's signature
If the transaction has already been posted to your account, you may contact the merchant directly to determine if the funds can be refunded. Please note; because we may be unaware of the Merchant's individual Return Policy, it is recommended that you contact the merchant first to determine the possibility of refunds.
If you prefer, to discuss the transaction in detail, you may contact us at 888-751-9000 or feel free to visit us during lobby hours to speak with a Specialist. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a list of TD Stores and hours near you. After account verification, our Specialists would be more than happy to help and provide the next step needed.
Thank you again for joining us, Rogers. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
