It's been 48 hours since then and I tried to make the payment twice. Why hasn't the charge occur through my bank account? My credit card account states that I don't owe anything but my bank account hasn't changed.

Welcome to TD Helps, Victor. We're happy to help.
While most credit card companies credit your account the day that you authorized the payment, the funds must still process between the banks and through the Federal Reserve. As this process usually takes 2-3 business days (no weekends or holidays) to complete, we recommend that you manually subtract the amount of the payment from your account so you know what the balance will be once it is deducted.
If you'd like to discuss this in more detail we ask that you contact us directly 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 to speak with a Customer Service Representative, send us a secured message via Online Banking or visit any TD Bank Store (click here: https://go.td.com/1lvjfOJ for store locations and hours).
Have a great Labor Day, Victor. We hope this helps.
