Thank you for connecting with us through TD Helps, Karolina. We are sorry to hear you are having issues with your debit card and are happy to help.
Although you have reported your visit to Europe before traveling, there are other factors that may cause the debit card to be denied when making a transaction. For example making a transaction at the same place multiple times or attempts for high amounts. If this was a withdrawal type of transaction, if you have attempted to withdraw the funds at least three times, for the security of your account most likely the card has been blocked and we will need to verify the attempts with you to activate it again. If you have only made one or two attempts, it is possible that the card is still active and you just need to try again for a different amount. Please keep in mind that unless requested, there are certain limitations on your ATM/Debit Card. For more information on the daily limits of your TD Debit Card, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pg. 39 & 40 – Under "Visa Debit Card Limits").
We recommend also reaching out to us directly, so that we may review this further. Here is our international number +856-751-9000, also located on the back of your debit card (third number listed). Please keep in mind that you must dial the US country code 1-011 when calling us. To call collect from an international phone, call 215-569-0518 (calls must be made from a landline with operator assistance). If you prefer to send a secure message, you must log into your Online Banking account, select the "Customer Service" tab and click on the "Send a Message" link located under the "Message Center" section. For the "Subject" field, please select "General Customer Service." In the Comments/Request field, please provide a detailed message regarding your issue. Once your message has been received, our Specialist will review your account and you will receive a follow-up e-mail via your TD Online Banking within 24 hours.
If you have not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, Social Security number, your email address and your current TD ATM/Debit card. Once you've successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your online account(s).
We'd also like to invite you to check out http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu for some beneficial travel tips while overseas.
Hope this helps, Karolina, and we hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your trip.
