I received my direct deposit today and that is what shows on my available balance. On today's beginning balance it only shows a few cents. Does this mean I can't use the money on my available balance until it's on today's beginning balance? If so how long would it take until I can spend it?

Thanks for joining us on TD Helps, Amira. We'll be happy to provide you with more details.
"Today's Account Balance" is the amount of money in your account at the start of any given business day. After all pending transactions are credited and/or deducted from that account balance, your "Available Balance" is the amount of money in your account you can use without incurring an overdraft charge.
Here are some things to remember:
-Your Available Balance is reduced by any pending debit card transactions (purchases and ATM withdrawals), and includes any deposited funds that have been made available.
-Your Available Balance does not reflect checks that you have written that have not yet cleared, or payments made in Bill Pay by laser draft (paper check) that have not yet cleared.
-Your Available Balance also does not include electronic payments in Bill Pay that have not yet been paid, or debit card transactions that have not yet been processed by the vendor for payment.
-If you exceed your available balance, you may incur an overdraft fee.

If you would like to confirm your account balance and the transaction status with us, please feel free to call 888-751-9000, 24/7 to speak with one of our Banking Specialists. After account verification we'd be more than happy to review your account with you. Also, you may visit any TD Bank Store to have your account reviewed in person. We hope this helps, Amira and please let us know if you have any other questions.
