I opened an account online a week ago and funded it from my checking account with another institution. I called customer service and they were unable to tell me anything about my account and said i should go to a branch. I opened the account online because i don't have time to go to a branch. What is going on?

Welcome to TD Helps, Dan.
Please note that the method of payment you used when you opened the account can determine how long until the funds will be available in your account. For example, if you funded your account with another account and routing number, the payment will be processed as an ACH. An ACH can take 2-3 business days to process. As this is pertaining to your account specifically, we ask that you contact us directly for assistance. To do so, you are able to contact us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting a TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
In addition, if you are enrolled for Online Banking, you may send a secure message using www.tdbank.com. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile.
