I wrote a check for $100. The person deposited the check on Wednesday of last week and it is now Tuesday. Nothing has shown up in my account. Why isn't it posting?

We understand the need to keep an accurate register, Ashley, and we'd be glad to discuss your check.
Please know that when you provide a check to an individual at another financial institution, it will be displayed as a debit on your account only after the other financial institution notifies us. After this occurs, we will then apply the debit to your account. This communication between financial institutions can sometimes cause the delay you're noticing.
If you'd like to discuss your account specifically, we recommend reaching a Banking Specialist. To do so, you are able to contact us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or by visiting a TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
In addition, if you are enrolled for online access, you can send a secure message. To send a secure message using Online Banking, please sign in here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq and select 'Send a secure message' located in the 'Message Center' on the left hand side of the page. For Mobile Banking, select the option to 'Contact Us' followed by 'Send a secure message' after signing in.
Please know that we would like to assist you directly however, TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum and we do not have access to your account/personal information.
We look forward to hearing from you, Ashley, and have a good day.
