Great question, thank you for inquiring!
We apologize for any confusion regarding our TD Debit Card Advance service. This is an optional overdraft service we offer with our checking accounts that may help you avoid debit card declines. If your account is enrolled in this service, we may allow you to authorize ATM transactions or one-time debit card purchases even if you don't have enough money available in your account. We ask that you take a look here: http://bit.ly/1voNBCy for more details and also here: http://bit.ly/Yv0ulC for more specific information.
Please note that as this is a discretionary service, a purchase or withdrawal on your account can be declined even if your account is enrolled in this feature. A decision to approve or decline a transaction is based on the time frame of your banking relationship with us, the current status of your account, and other factors, for example. You're more than welcome to contact one of our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000, who can review your account and this service with you in more detail. Or, if you'll be nearby one of our Stores, feel free to stop in during our extended lobby hours. If you click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores, you can find the TD Bank Store and lobby hours nearest you.
We hope this clears it up a bit for you, Latifah and we can look into this further for your account in particular when you get in touch with us.
Thanks again and have a wonderful week!
