We appreciate the visit to TD Helps, Kevin. Your TD Bank Visa Card can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted!
The standard daily cash withdrawal limits are listed in the Personal and Business Deposit Account Agreements. Funds availability may be limited by factors such as your current available balance or a predetermined authorized daily limit established at your request. For standard daily withdrawal limits for your TD Bank Visa Debit card, please check our Personal Account Agreement http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (pgs, 39-40).
We also recommend placing a Travel Notification on your checking account before you leave for Germany. You can do so by calling our Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000 or visiting a local TD Bank Store. To find a TD Bank near you, we suggest you check out http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you are enrolled for online banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq . On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. If you have not enrolled, you can do so for free by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, Social Security number, your email address and your current TD ATM/Debit card. If you run into any problems enrolling or if you do not have a TD ATM/Debit card to enroll online, please call us 24/7 at 800-493-7562 to speak with our Digital Banking Specialists. This will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account.
When making an ATM withdrawal from an international location, please make sure that the ATM machine displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. The TD Bank Debit Card may also be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance if a compatible ATM is not available. Please note non-TD ATM fees still may apply. Our most up to date Fee Schedule can be found here, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, for more information. Many ATMs outside the United States limit withdrawals to checking accounts only, TD Bank Online can be used to transfer money from your savings account to your checking account should more funds be needed. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu.
If you have any questions while you are traveling internationally, you can reach us at (856)-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline at (215)-569-0518.
Hope this answers your questions, Kevin. Have a safe travels!
