In reply to Jason, Can
Thanks for making a stop at TD Helps, Jason! Excellent question and we're happy to discuss.
First, as it looks like you're writing in from Canada, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/15syy4F, where our friend Sharif from TD Canada Trust has detailed some info you may be able to use. If you are inquiring about your account there, you're more than welcome to reply on that post with other questions, or contact directly using any method found here: http://bit.ly/1woOVay.
And if you are a Customer of ours here at TD Bank US, we also have some info you can use. You'll be happy to know that our Visa Debit cards can be used for purchases and at any ATM which accepts the Visa or NYCE networks; and our ATM-only cards can also be used on the NYCE network. When making an ATM withdrawal, search for these logos on a local ATM. Please note that fees can apply and check out http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to see our current Fee Schedule.
To be certain you will have few card interruptions, we do recommend placing a travel notification on your account. This helps us recognize unauthorized transactions for you, and can prevent your card from becoming blocked. Please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
If you haven't already done so, the easiest way to set a travel notification is to send us a Secure Message from your TD Bank Online Banking account, using the login link here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. You can then send us a message by clicking on the ''Customer Service'' tab, then using the ''Send a Message'' link. Please include your exact travel dates, destinations and any connecting flight information if applicable. Or if you'd like, feel free to contact a Customer Service Representative directly at 888-751-9000, 24/7.
Hope this helps wherever you bank, Jason! Have fun with your travels and take care.
